Starr, the precocious youngster who grew up before our eyes, made the transition
from troublemaking child to heartbreaking teen when she received her first
real kiss from runaway buddy Travis. Having shared a brief Internet friendship,
Starr and Travis made their big plans to escape their stressful lives and
head off to California. But before making their escape from the big city,
they made one last stop at a Central Park bridge. We smiled right along with
Starr as she watched Travis tie two rings together and drop them into the
water below in an impromptu ritual binding the kindred spirits together forever.
And in the moment Starr spent 13 years waiting for, the troubled sweethearts
sealed their vow with a kiss. Although, like most things in Starr's life,
the moment was soon spoiled by tragedy, it was good while it lasted!
